Limited Edition Vinyl was created so collectors interested in limited edition record pressings and color vinyl would have a place to get news about the latest limited edition LP’s, 7 inch singles, and 10 inch records. While limited records are not rare as a whole, finding information about their releases can be difficult. With the short availability of the records, by the time you find out about them, many times they are sold out. The editor of this site has been collecting records for about 10 years and in a time of iTunes and MP3 blogs would like a place for those who still love the hunt for a rare and limited record to find information. While it is nice to be able to purchase a MP3 recording of an album in less than 5 minutes, there is something to be said about the hunt for a rare record. There is also a great sense of pride in owning records that only 1,000, 500 or even 100 people have. Records posted on this site will typically have a run of 2,000 or less. Limited pressings on colored vinyl are even sexier.
