If your not familiar with The Muldoons and their place in the Detroit rock scene here is a quick run down. The band formed in 2005 and features Brian Muldoon on drums. You may know his name from some other Detroit bands he plays (or played) in. Featured on the guitars are his sons Shane and Hunter, who are 11 and 14. These two also write the majority of the lyrics and guitar lines for the songs. The bands first gig was opening for the White Stripes at a 2005 show in their hometown of Detroit. Jack White also produced their first EP. Pretty exciting for a group of young teenagers if you ask me, who were only 8 and 11 at the time! The first of several new releases slated for the band is the double 7″ EP being released by Little Room Recordings. This EP features 6 brand new tracks from the band, including a cover of the Kelly Stoltz track Are You Electric?. This double 7″ is limited to 500 copies and all of them are hand numbered. It can be yours for $10 plus shipping directly from Little Room here. You also get a download coupon for all the tracks on the EP as well as a bonus track not on the EP. Be sure to check out the photo contest they are running for your chance to win a bunch of great prizes from the new label. While your there I also suggest you pick up the Cut In The Hill Gang 7″, Johnny Walker (of the Soldad Brothers) new project, which features 2 tracks, including a cover of Sugar Never Tasted So Good by the White Stripes.
