Polyvinyl has announced the first single of the up coming Of Montreal release, Skelatal Lamping. The new single, Id Engager, will offer a sneak peak at the new album which is set to be released on October 7th. This limited 7″ single is currently available for pre-order direct from Polyvinyl and will ship on August 29th. It will be available at your local record store on September 9th. The single will be pressed in 3 different colors, Blue, Gold and Purple and will cost $5 each. They are also offering a package deal if you want to own a copy of each color. I just received my copy today. I preordered it several weeks ago and almost forgot about it! I got the gold. It is amazing. The unreleased song is called “Alter Eagle” - and it is quite the groovin’ track.
