Set to release on September 9th is a new 12 inch EP from Mogwai titled Batcat. This release comes only 3 weeks before The Hawk is Howling drops and features, Batcat, from that new record. Also on this EP are the songs, “Stupid Prick Gets Chased By The Police And Loses His Slut Girlfriend” and “Devil Rides” which features legendary Roky Erickson on vocals. This EP is claimed to be a specially packaged limited edition release by matador but the number being pressed is unknown to me. Better safe then sorry on this one, all the past Mogwai vinyl singles and EPs are long sold out and the new album appears to be one of the more anticipated releases of the year.
