The Southern Records Latitude series has been going on now since 2005 and focuses on limited edition session recordings that “capture the transience and limitless expression of our modern world”. This Grails 12″, number 4 in the series, was originally released in 2005 on CD only. This has now been released on extra thick white vinyl, with 300 on black vinyl. The A side contains the 3 tracks while the B side is etched. Grails covers “Satori” by the Travellin’ Flowers Band, the Byrds’ “Space Odyssey” and finally “Master Builder” by Gong. This release is limited to 1,000 copies only and it looks like Aquarius Records managed to get 25 of them into their store. If you are interested in this I suggest you order fast as it might be sold out already. If AQ is out then you can try Insound as they appear to have some in stock as well. If you are from the UK or Europe (or the US and want to pay for it) you can order directly from Southerns online shop and get access to one of the 300 black pressings. The 12″ runs 9 pounds from the Euro store and about $15 US from the US retailers.
