I discovered Boston’s Arms and Sleepers during one of those nights where the opening band turns out to be a really good surprise. The music was accompanied by some really great visuals, most of which appeared to be original work. It was quite a presentation. That night I didn’t make it to the end of the headliner’s set and carried a Arms and Sleepers CD home with me. The bands sound is a mixture of sampling, laid back beats, spacey loose psychedelic, classical compositions, and a film soundtrack. The bands debut album is now being released in a double LP package. The audio has all been re-mastered specifically for release on vinyl, news I am always happy to hear. The album spans the first 3 sides and side 4 contains a reworked version of the song Kanal. This song was originally only available on one of the bands limited edition cd-r releases. This side also contains an additional new and unreleased song. The first 100 are hand numbered and pressed on blue wax. They also contain additional 2 sided insert. These 100 are only available directly from the label. The album just released this week and no mention of the color been sold out during pre-order so you might still get one. This record will cost you $20 postage paid in the US and $30 to the rest of the world.
