This EP by Vietnam is number 2 in a 3 part series brought to us by The Social Registry. The first release was great, this one is even better. Each features 1 song from the latest self titled release. Featured here is “Mr. Goldfinger”, a lazy rocker with some infectious, sing along lines. Finishing off side A is a sluggish cover of the Doctor John song “Right Place, Wrong Time”. Side B contains “Cadillac Drive”, Vietnams fastest and shortest song to date and was written and recorded in one hour. The final track on the EP, “Wishful Thinkin’” is written and sung by lead guitarist Joshua Grubb. This release features 4 great tracks, 3 you’ll only hear on this 12″, and is highly recommended. While its playing I feel like I am driving away from the hotel at the end of a week long beach vacation; melancholy, but yet satisfied and content.
