The Social Registry is launching what it is calling The Social Club, A monthly 7″ series that is “an initiative small in size and yet large in scope”. Its goal is to bring attention to new artists but remain flexible enough to embrace a broad range of projects. They hope to allow artists to experiment with their sound and bring to light side project and collaborations which often remain unheard.Each month a new 7 inch single is release in the series. It will be limited to 750 copies in hand-number letter pressed artwork. You can subscribe to the series for 6 months at a time on The Social Registrys web site for $30 including shipping. Any remaining Social Club singles will be available through TSR as well. One interesting feature of this 7″ series is that while the vinyl itself will be limited the music will be made available exclusively through Insound.com. The first single in the Social Club has been released and is now available for order if you do not wish to subscribe to the club. It is Jena Malone & Her Blood Stains and when Limited Edition Vinyls copy arrives the release will be featured.
