Nebraskas Brimstone Howl is a primal rock n roll that wouldn’t seem out of place on the Nuggets box set. This full length LP is the third from the band, the first was released under the name The Zyklon Bees, and was engineered and produced by Dan Auerbach and the band themselves. This 1st pressing is limited to 500 copies on a very nice looking orange vinyl and can be purchased from the Bomp! store for only $10. Fans of the classic blues and punk garage rock will enjoy this LP. Brimstone Howl describe themselves as “Guitar sluts and hook thieves with hearts of chrome, but with pretty good lyrics,” and their music as “like burnt, steady tom beats, the blues, and looooooowwwwwd fuzz.” While your picking up this record you can also order 2 7″ singles the band released on Boom Chick Records. Blood on The Rocks, Bones on the River was recorded by Jay Reatard in Memphis and the first pressing (shown below) is out of print. A 2nd pressing of 300 on clear red wax is available. M60 was released in an edition of 300 on black wax and is also out of print. The 2nd pressing is limited to 300 and is on green wax. Both of the 2nd pressing are available from Bomp! and Boom Chick.
